Default Turn Signal & Running Lights

Are the front running lights supposed to go off on one side or the other when a turn signal is on?

That's not a Corvette thing - have seen it on several vehicles - I guess it makes your turn signal more visible while looking odd at the same time....

Is there a fix that will keep the running light "on" at the same time the turn signal is "on" ?

Yes. It's somewhat complicated but doable.
You must reverse the polarity of the second, fourth and sixth LEDs. Then Using a jumper connect the yellow/blue stripe cable from the ECM to your left butt cheek and let 'er rip!

OH MY!!!!
That was very funny
However, I agree with others. I saw an Audi a while back doing that and said that's stupid looking. Well I guess my Vette will have a stupid look as well.

most new cars if not all do the same thing, why change it, it's not as if you can see it?

All LED equipped cars do it, makes the blinker more visible. I WANT my car more visible when signaling a turn. Been hit making a turn before and its no fun.

The running lights are bright and I suppose they are shutoff while the turn signal is on to make the turn LEDs more visible. I have noticed this with other vehicles as well.
