Default Corvette stereotypes

I happened to check out the Rennlist forum a couple of days ago, and saw a thread comparing the C7 Z51 to the 991S. It amazes me how many of the guys over there believe that all the C7 can do is to go fast in a straight line. I wonder how many of them have actually tracked their 911s, and run with some C6s or C7s which "can only go fast in a straight line". Of course they also rely on the old criticism about the cheap interior of the C7, which I expect they have never seen in person.

One of my neighbors picked up his C7 a couple of weeks ago, so I had the opportunity of taking a prolonged drive in his car. He had the full leather interior, and to my eyes it looked great. As far as handling is concerned, it was world class IMO.

Anyway to all of you current and soon to be C7 owners, you have one hell of a car at an incredible price when compared to the German competition. Congrats to all.

So let me get this straight you are disgusted by Corvette stereotypes coming from Porsche people on Rennlist you are stereotyping???

You can't fight stereotypes with stereotypes.

Most rennlisters have plenty of respect for the C7.

I did not post that all Rennlisters have these views; that would have been a stereotype. All I posted is what I read on that thread which is not a stereotype. It's a fact.

It's funny they think it can only go in a straight line. That's what it's worst at and it's still pretty darn good at that.
