Closing the gap with the 911 but still not there yet.

Pure bullshi#! The C7 is better than a 911s or 911-4s. And it's funny how looks are NEVER brought up in the comparison test between a C7 and 911. Park a 911 next to a C7, and the 911 instantly becomes invisible! And yes, I have driven 911's. Not impressed at all!

They have to fix the fit and finish issues that have been reported if they want to dethrone the 911.

Here is the background on the publisher of Autozine:

About AutoZine & the Author

What's AutoZine?

AutoZine is my personal car website established on September 1997. Throughout the years, AutoZine has been non-commercial at all - no sponsorship, no advertisement thus no income. In other words, I do it just for fun.

The Author

So, who am I ? My name is Mark Wan, a resident of Hong Kong. If you don't know where this great city is, look at your world atlas, at the southern shore of China ... yes, that dot is Hong Kong. As seen in the beautiful photo, I’m a pure Chinese in human race, also speak Chinese as mother tongue and think in Chinese. That’s why you’ve already found so many grammatical mistakes in my writings.

It may be a surprise to you that a Chinese created such a high-quality automotive web site wholly by himself. I know there is no world-class car makers in China, but that doesn't stop us from loving and knowing cars. Also worth amazing may be that I have never studied or worked in automotive field. Car is just my very first hobby. In fact, I graduated from electronic engineering of CUHK and am now working for a laboratory responsible for safety certification of electrical goods. This sounds too unfamiliar to you, I think?

LOL Guys, hes from Hong Kong, hwo the F*CK did he get a hold of a c7?

In fact how did he get a hold of 90% of the cars he's "reviewed" that he's written about on his website?

This guy is a car enthusiast who has a website and regurgitates what he reads, hears, and is told....and then calls it a review article.. HA! Notice all the pictures up on that site are media photos.

A lot of naysayers and fanboi posts here. But if you read the article, the 911 is NOT the car he benchmarks the C7 against. This is actually one of the better reviews I have read and think he really does hit the marks accurately. OBTW, the way I read the review, he likes the C7.

Yup. Read the whole thing carefully... while he does have some quips against the C7, he still praises it in key areas even if via subtle hints:

"That said, the C7 is still significantly more striking to look than either its predecessors or most of its European counterparts."

"Among its class rivals, the Corvette is virtually peerless in straight line acceleration. Ditto its estimated top speed of 190 mph."

"To our surprise, its braking performance (with the Z51 pack) is just as good as Porsche, no matter measured distance, fade resistance or brake feel. The electrical power steering is superb, being linear, precise and offers good feedback."

"Now it is finally a desirable yet affordable choice to sports car lovers. Verdict: 4 stars (out of ??)"

5 Stars is the max. Overall the article is positive with a few negatives in the handling and interior.
