Engine Sound Management (ESM)- The setting, accessed through the C7′s touchscreen in the center stack, will allow the driver to set the note of the engine as heard in the cabin. The settings consist of Auto, Stealth, City, Tour, Sport, Track, and Off (for C7's with NPP).
For those without NPP, you can still control the middle exhaust valves by manually shutting it to 'Off'.

Yeah, GM deleted the others and only kept Auto and Off as the only 2 current user configurable modes for both NPP and non-NPP cars.
So I guess the only way to tell if you actually have NPP vs. non-NPP is to look in the tail pipes? (assuming you can't tell from listening, and you don't trust the build sheet)

NPP has 4" tips (trumpet style)... standard is 3" tips and has a gap between the pair.
