Hi Marissa, It's been a while since I talked to you or Kelley. My order # is RGWV8G and my Vin# is 1G1YL3D79E5107859. I know my car was build on either 11/20 or 11/22, and it shipped on 12/11. I lost track of it for a few weeks, (while it was taking a train ride) and it showed up on 12/30 in a railroad yard in Butte, Mt.
11 days since then, and as far as I know it's still sitting there. So far GM has managed to use up more than a month of my registration and insurance, and I still don't have the car!
I bought the car through Kerbeck, and Fichtner is doing the courtesy delivery. Both of them let me know where my car was on 12/30. What I'd really like to know is, WHEN I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO GET MY CAR?

Rail shipping has become a major headache for forum members and you might be able to help.

It has been suggested (see this thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...shipments.html) that you might be able to provide the Rail Car # that is apparently somewhere in GM's systems (thread suggests GM Global Connect under History).

Apparently this has been done in the past for Cadillac shipments.

Could you please research this and let us know what you find out?

THANK YOU!!! I "helped" the mechanic with the PDI of my Z51 Coupe yesterday afternoon (I suspect he was glad to see me go away); and, I picked it up today - AMAZING VETTE!!!

I was frustrated with the lengthy process (4+ months), and was very close to canceling my order - after seeing & driving it this afternoon, I'm glad I didn't cancel!!!!

Dealer has two allocations for convertibles and one is mine.

The other allocation is scheduled for production (or delivery?) in the next couple weeks per the dealer on 1/9/14
