Default Will Museum delivery cause much delay?

Greetings,

I know the museum is slammed with deliveries now, and I'm wondering if that's causing any significant delays? Are they able to keep up with the delivery rate, or will adding museum delivery delay your delivery?

Thanks,
Rusty

My understanding is that 2 weeks is pretty typical for R8C cars. That means that in many cases buyers could get their cars a little sooner by taking delivery at their dealer; it just depends on how long the car sits at the plant before being loaded on a truck as well as how long it takes the load to arrive once it leaves Bowling Green.

Well, that's not bad. That's not even two weeks, and there's a holiday in there too.

Thanks,
Rusty

As a car built on completed on Nov. 20 if not going onto a transporter that day (the contract requires the transporter to start the car's movement within ten days after completion) and as there is also travel time on a transporter, Museum delivery could add as little as no extra time to your getting your car, and on the other end of the spectrum as much as 12 days. The law of averages, as the Museum has been able to keep up (317 deliveries between Sept. 30th and Thanksgiving) is that your car will be delivered to you at the Museum a little less than one week later than your dealership.

VIN # 7225 is due off of the line on Thursday 11/14 with museum delivery scheduled for 11/25……….hope that goes as planned and I am not jinxing myself writing this

I can't imagine that I would have been able to pick the car up in Idaho in that short a period of time, so in some cases I think museum delivery can shorten the wait. Hoping the deliveries go smoothly for everyone!

Thanks for all the comments. Sounds like no real problem with delays

Cheers,
