Default Emblems or Stripes First?

Hi all, I am strongly considering ordering the $995 dual stripes. I also want to remove the Corvette lettering on the rear. If the stripe is a decal, what happens when I remove Corvette lettering?

Thanks

You will have a messed up $70,000 car. Why spoil it?

To me, it looks like the Corvette script is installed over the stripes. Definitely something to check out.

I agree with losing the letters but I would not do the tape stripes either. I just can't get into the look of adhesive stripes. If I wanted them at all I would have a really good shop paint do them and clear/blend them so you felt no edge.

Does anyone know if the lettering is applied over the stripes? I spoke to sales, and service at the dealership, and they don't know! These stripes are not dealer installed! Thanks

From that picture it clearly looks like the emblem is applied after the stripes. Take a look at the 'o' in corvette. They would not have individual cut pieces to place them in after the emblem. In fact all the other letters. If the stripe was done after you would see the body color of the car.

So in conclusion yes you can remove the 'Corvette' emblem

Do whatever YOU like looks are very subjective...if you like stripes then put them on if you don't like emblems then take them off...

But the adhesive might not release from the stripe, so you'll need to buy a car without factor stripes, then remove the badges, then have the car locally striped with adhesives or paint.

Personally, I like the stripes.

Get some rest, eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly, including some weight resistance. Take some time to simply enjoy everything you have and get a change of scenery if you haven't lately. Then, after a while, reconsider this issue and possible alternatives.

Or not...

I removed the Corvette letters from the rear bumper using non wax dental floss the glue just peeled off. Wipe the bumper down with Meguiars detail mist

Stripes and no lettering or emblem. The rear fascia looks so much better "cleaned".

The emblem is indented into the bumper that would require body and paint work but it would look nice.

Ah---to be young enough to want to buy $995 stripes then take them off along with the corvette emblem.
