Does anyone know when the C7 will be featured on the UK version of Top Gear. I'm really interested to see what the Stig can do with it?
For some reason, I thought that show was cancelled (and I watched all of them)? I was on Netflix earlier today, and the last season available was 2012? They are doing "best of" episodes right now.
Check their wiki. They had a couple episodes this year. Not cancelled just less episodes. Think they are doing more early next year. Idk how far film to air takes for them. Jeremy liked the c6z for the track, hated it on the streets, liked the zr1 while he was in America. Owned a ford gt. Take it tongue and cheek. Top gear makes fun of every car.
It's one of the most-watched television programs worldwide. The presenters may get tired of it, but I can't see the BBC canceling their golden-egg goose without some pretty good reasons!
Hope they continue on. Some of they stuff is really funny. Especially their challenges. The find the source of the nile was awesome. Don't care if he likes american cars or not, they are funny together.
Doubt they'll do anything with the C7 until the Euro competition meets the same or bests the performance of the C7 so they don't have to admit the car is amazing.

Very idiotic comment. Shows that you don't know much about Top Gear.

Actually. I watch it a lot. I even had a shirt custom made that has Vette flags on the front and on the back says, "Well done, fat man from Kentucky!"
I based my statement, not on Clarkson (since I know he actually liked the ZR1), but on their producer's orders. The talent still has to follow orders, even if those orders are biased. It's an entertainment show. Not a documentary.

I don't know where you get the idea that the producer does not like American cars and orders the talent to say what is on the producers mind. First of all, Jeremy Clarkson, (his production company) up until very recently, owned the show. Clarkson called the shots. Secondly, Richard Hammond is a lover of American muscle cars. I do agree that, in jest, Clarkson does make fun of American cars, but he does, in jest, make fun of everything American. However, when he compared the ZR1against the Audi R8, he said he would rather own the ZR1. Clarkson, Hammond & May are quite honest in their assesments, and are not supportive of everything European. In fact, with very few exceptions, Clarkson truly hates Porsches. I have seen every episode of top Gear UK and i think my thoughts are pretty accurate. But I will say this: I love your t-shirt! That was one of my favorite episodes. Also, just to let you know, i spoke to Jay Leno about Top Gear because he loves the show and was on with Clarkson driving a reasonably priced car. Jay said that he was practically begged to be the main man on the US version of Top Gear (which is unwatchable) and he turned it down stating that the US version can never compare because what makes the UK version so successful is the interaction between Clarkson, Hammond & May. I completely agree. Lastly, if you agree with what I am saying, and if I ever gain 150 pounds and move to Lexington, you can say "well done fat man form Kentucky!"
Clarkson did own a Ford GT but sold it. It had way to many gremlins that drove him nuts. There was an episode about his troubles back in 2005.
Didn't he buy another one after that? In any event, he really liked the GT. The gremlins had more to do with the anti-theft tracking system installed (mandated for insurance apparently), rather than any real shortcomings of the car. He did mention it was too wide for a bridge, but that was probably for theater and would have been entirely his fault.

Statement doesn't even make any sense, in light of the R8 V10 being slower than the ZR1 in the same episode. Don't be bitter just because they highlight how some cars don't fare well on the kinds of public roads that the Brits experience on a daily basis (and no, most of the British driving public doesn't drive around a flat, smooth airbase converted to track duty with multiple laps to get the perfect line).
