Here we are just a few hours from another Thursday....
Please, Baby Jesus, can I get an allocation for my order? and... would it be too much to ask for no constraints on my options... Please!
LOL. This post made me laugh. I am in the same situation. One thing i cannot understand is the painted roof constraint... Wouldn't you think that the painted roof would be in high supply? I just don't get that.
I reached out to the Customer Service team on PM and no response. Trying to understand why the constraint on painted roof.

It's the carbon fiber under the paint. The issue is apparently related to the availability of some carbon fiber parts.

Painted roof, CF dash, Z51... I've already accepted that my car is going to be a 2015 model.

My second allocation is coming up tomorrow or next Thursday..I hope I make it through this time.I don't really care about the roof, just worried about the Z51.My dealer has one more allocation after this one in the 1st phase, and that's it till next year.
2LT
Z51
Mag Ride
Perf. Exh.
Black wheels
CF mirrors/spoiler
Standard roof (painted)
White ext
Red int
Guess who you're still behind. Sorry...
It's difficult to follow how this all ends up working, but I know they're hoping for multiple allocations tomorrow. I also KNOW my salesman desperately wants to get mine ordered so I'll stop bugging him. He may have said something about a restraining order

Good luck to both of us
Cheers,
Rusty
Maybe you'll let me drive yours around just a little if yours gets in and mine doesn't... like a shared custody thing?
I spent the afternoon with a CF design shop that is prototyping some interior parts for my car. I was telling him about the constraints...I could not believe how many ways he said that CF can go wrong when attempted in volume. I think GM's fault was contracting/s\designing parts that require huge QC and believing the vendor when he said he could do it in the volumes that GM needs....a cluster F**k for sure....
probably a stupid question, but i am going to ask anyway. Since my vert is at a status of 3300 since last week, will it will be built during the first phase and my vehicle is not being held back from any constraint?
Gee am I glad that the vert is a soft top. I can just imagine the issues if it had been a power retractable hard top like the Miata ..........
Imagine, err don't imagine, if hypothetically the C7 convertible was engineered with a power retractable carbon fiber hardtop?!!

You may be able to squeeze in as long as it fits in a TPW before the holidays.... but with all these volatile constraints, I'd think worser case scenario in regards to production schedules. Yeah, it's mind-boggling.
