Default Order Statius tracking

Been checking my order Statius on the customer order thread. Kelly J. Is doing a great job. Another thread stated; there currently are 33,000 orders for the Sting Ray. If Bowling Green is producing about a 1,000 units a week, this means that 8 months will pass until your order is produced. Assuming orders are processed in sequence. No wonder my dealer wanted a pre delivery trade on my C6.

Impossible to have 33000 orders. Dealers with allocation are limited by constraints (parts availability) & weekly order consensus.
BG builds approx 150 per day or 900 per week IF they have enough parts to schedule Saturday.

Yeah, I agree.

However, there could be a larger number of orders than they ever intend to build for this model year. We've had threads here with dealers submitting orders with 0 allocations coming, so those orders would sit at 1100 seemingly forever, or until they get an allocation.... Next year. Think of it this way, the dealer could think that a good percentage of the deposits will be enough to hold someone and when they tell them in Feb. "It looks like all orders for 2014's are done, but we'll get you the configuration you want in a 2015 come August...." some people may buy it and not buy a car off another lot that is 90-95% of what they wanted.

There's a lot of hyperbole around this car lately so it's difficult to know what to believe, and as usual the sales teams at local dealerships are not helping the issue.

Before I ordered my car two dealerships swore to me that there was no way I could get a 2014. One even said "They're all sold, they can't even make anymore of them for existing orders!". He turned bright red when I told him I could buy 10 Z51's today if I wanted the luggage edition, since everyone has them in their showrooms.

33,000 units sold, well possible? Dealers' had to have the allocations and sold them. Wonder when the 2014 model year order period will close. If we have that many 2014's to produce, the model year probably will be extended???
