That's to accomodate the bellies of the buyers.

yes the manufacturer posted this before. you'll notice the horn/air bag cover is also leather and stitched and they now have a carbon fiber face for it as well (replaces the aluminum) all sold separately by the way. Very nice looking but a bit pricey. that being said I will probably order the CF part and maybe the air bag/horn cover but probably not the steering wheel.

That is pretty nice.
Don't know why the 7 doesn't come from the factory with a flat bottom wheel.

Would have been well worth the extra cost.

Something about that wheel that doesn't look. Flat bottom excepted,I just don't like the look/bulk of this wheel.

Perhaps being saved for the next hi-po model?

It looks too out of proportion or something to that effect and I'm a big fan of the D-wheel.

I love flat-bottomed steering wheels. To me, they say "exotic".

I like the leather stitched horn. That looks a lot better than the stock wheel. I can care less about the flat bottom.

The 'flat bottom' suede like wheel was originally an option on the C7 if the 'competition' seats were ordered in the first edition of the ordering guide. I haven't seen it since. I intended to get one for my 'vert when it comes..... if it comes....

The flat bottom wheel was an aftermarket
GM option on the C6, I would bet they have it on future C7 model years.
