Default Texas gets another

The Good and Bad
Let me start of by saying I have the literacy skills of a 6th grade dropout, but I will give it my best try. I have never owned a Vette prior to this one, I never even owned a true performance car, but have been an automotive enthusiast all my life.
2014 Corvette Stingray, Torch Red, Z51, 2LT, Black wheels, Red calipers, Black interior Manual gear box, Nav, and Exhaust.
I took the Museum delivery, and immediately took off on a 2200 mile vacation that included three passes of the Tail of the Dragon. Two by me and one by my wife. The car performed flawlessly for the entire trip.
Styling
The C-7’s exterior is a drastic change from the C-6, but is recognized by all as a Corvette. I truly love all the functional vents, and the removable carbon fiber top. The black 19” front and 20” rear wheels seem to fit the openings perfectly. Literally you can’t put this car in the public’s eye without attention from all old and young. I have had people pull up in the lane beside me taking video and pictures. I have stopped for fuel and been approached by and old lady asking if I would let her take her picture sitting in my car.
Fit and Finish
All gaps are as close to perfect as on any luxury car, and the paint will please all but the most critical fanatics. I do think they could have done a better job with the rear hatch closer.
Interior
It is just over the top, the seats, the dash and all the computer integration makes it like driving a video game! I’m a big guy 6’2” 220 lbs and fit great. I can agree with all on the dim dash lights at dusk, but that is very short time annoyance
Drivability
With the 7 speed tranny and a very smooth clutch this car will exceed most people’s driving skills, and will even enhance the pro drivers. It was my concern if this could be a daily driver, but the horse power is very controllable, and is a thrill when released!
By my definition this is a true “Super Car” thanks GM, and congrats on getting this one right!

Shaan no memory refresh needed, I'll remember that day for the rest of my life. It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope you enjoyed your ride home as much as I did.
