After about a three year hiatus (not to including the 73) I have returned to the Corvette Family. The past few years I have been driving an M3 e93. A great car but the C7 when it was released spoke to me. I saw a Laguna Blue, 2LT, Kalahari interior at the old pricing sitting on the lot and didn't look back. I drove it home yesterday evening. It sure does feel good.

That is tough to answer because both are great machines. Running the twisties goes to the M, Raw Power to the Vette. Hard to choose. but guess I did as proof is in the pudding. Vette gets the vote I guess.
Just noticed still have the ZO6 in the Avatar. Guess I had better change it.

I do not believe the new C7 Z51 gives up anything to an M3 in the "twisties." If you read Edmund's comparison test of the two cars , this is apparent.

That's what I was thinking (not challenging the OP). My M3 is the sedan and it weighs around 3700 lbs. The e93 is the vert which is a bit heavier. I've never owned a car as heavy as the M3 until now. It does some amazing things in long sweeping turns but when the road gets REAL twisty (say 10-25mph speed limit turns, 90-180 degrees), its just too heavy to compensate. I was hoping the C7 would stick better with a lower center of gravity and lighter weight in the real tight stuff.

Felt ride and handling, The DCT on the M3 does wonders also. I felt that the rear end on the BMW sticks better. My comparison is the C6 and the C6 ZO6. I have yet to put the C7 through its paces as yet. Hopefully I will agree with Edmunds. But all in all it is merely an opinion given not backed by science. Both great cars, both enjoyable to drive.

There was an issue with the on line site erroneously adding about $8K when building a C7. Pricing has not increased that I know of.

Well, all indications are the C7 Z51 and all of the C6 variants handle very differently--I would reserve judgment until you have wrung out the C7.

Congratulations. I'am surprise you lasted three years. I went into withdrawals eight months after I sold my C6 to another forum member. I regret ever selling my C6 but I made up by Buying a C7.
