Was able to get an allocation for my 3LT Z51 finally!!!! Only option I had to give up was the CF dash. Still have my Comp seats I hope I can just buy one later or have it painted the outside color of the car. Thoughts??

I dropped the cf dash a few weeks ago. At 3400 now. Hoping for 3800 soon. You can buy a factory cf dash for $500.

I had to drop the cf dash to get my order accepted back in July. Delivered 10/1.

I thought the CF dash was mandatory. I only saw the pictures on line and bought my car sight unseen out of dealer stock. Mine does have the CF dash and the exposed CF roof. The dash is less impressive then I thought it would be. The dull finish keeps it subdued. It is nice but the standard dash would be fine in my opinion. I am sure the after market will have some great options for you soon.

I got my opportunity to order mine in July without that expensive dash from Rick Conti because some of his customers ahead of me insisted on being FAY. (You'll figure it out!)

Just got allocation for my z51 3lt this morning. Had to forego cf dash and exposed cf roof - but will add later through parts dept. Performance exhaust, mag. ride, black wheels, brownstone, microfiber interior, museum delivery. Order placed with dealer on Aug. 6 after seeing C7s at "Vettes on the Rockies" in Winter Park, CO.

I like the CF Dash, but, looking at it hurts my eyes.

I also had to forego the FAY option back in July. My car arrived 10/15. While I like the look of the standard dash, I can't help but think the exposed CF would look better. I have seen one and like it. My service manager says he can order and install a CF dash, and the cost will be approx. the same as had I ordered one during the build. He has just completed one for another customer and says it's not a difficult job - couple of hours labor.

But... now I see the CF steering wheel inserts from previous posts and also would like to add that as well. Kind of completes the ensemble. We'll see. One option at a time.

This guy recommends not getting it, that it doesn't look real. That is his opinion, others say it looks great. I've seen it and didn't think it was worth 1k.

he is not at all totally accurate regarding the options though
have to get 3lt to get added security feature? not.

I'm really leaning toward a body color painted one in the future so I made the decision to just have them put my order through already. Glad I didn't have to give up the Z51!!!

I was able to order and have installed the carbon fiber dash. Being that it's in such high demand right now, I was surprised my dealership was able to order and get it in.

not my opin at all - it grows on you, also polymer liquid sealant wipes on and gives it a touch more gloss....

My car by chance had it, and it does look pretty nice. However given the choice it's just not an option I would have ordered myself. Like a few others have said I don't think $900 is worth it really. I think the standard dash is perfectly fine and looks very nice.

Don't feel bad about giving it up at all.

I had to give up the CF dash as well on the 2nd batch of C7 orders before mid year. After seeing it on cars at Laguna Seca, felt the same about the small amount of CF relative to the other black pieces on the dash. I am happy with the way my car looks. As you say, waiting to see what the aftermarket offers. Their CF or other options will surly cover more parts of the interior.

We had wanted the CF dash, but bought an ordered C7 at 3300 which had everything we wanted except the FAY. Thought we'd want to do an aftermarket dash, but are extremely happy with the base dash, and won't be modifying.
