If you can write a check for any brand of car, I suggest you go ahead and skip the C7 and get an old 427 Cobra. This way we don't have to hear you complain about advancing technology and we get to enjoy our cars!

I am not as old as most of you in here. However I have been hotrodding myself for over ten years, and grew up with corvettes as my dad has had 16 of them since 69. I have had cars with no a/c, no p/s, race suspension, no abs, and manual everything. Fun for sure, but I have learned to appreciate what technology ans evolution of the performance car world brings us. I like that the c7 can give you the rawness of qhat many consider a true sports car, as well as the luxury and sophistication of a modern high end car.

At least you can turn most if not all of the nannies off...

OP, 33 years old here and I agree with you to an extent...something about the old school muscle that never gets old. Not long ago I had a 69 corvette convertible in the garage and a 2006 Porsche GT3. Both great cars, but it was always the 69 vette that seemed more special and got way more attention (from me and onlookers). Of course the GT3 could run circles around it...but 60s era rumble and character just puts a huge smile on my face. They have a "cool" factor that contemporary cars, no matter how advanced, just can't match.
