I assume no has received a C7 with competition seats yet since I haven't seen any posted pictures. For those who ordered this option, have you even received a TPW or advanced order status coded yet?
I have a Z51 with comp seats on order, received a TPW of 12/2 and
status of 3400 last week. Have not heard if it got produced last week
or not. Original tentative production dates were somewhere between
12/9 and 12/22 so we'll see what happens.
Does anyone know if the comp seats retain the heating/cooling? Just came back from spring mountain and the cooling sure was a nice option for the track.

I was told by my dealer today that they are not building cars out with the competition seats right now. He said they did a couple weeks of it, but now they are down to zero (whatever that means) and if I want them included in the order my vert will be delayed. I am getting some presure to lock in by the end of business today. Does anyone know if they are delayed again? If this is true then I may consider moving forward, if its not, then I am not sure why he would say this as I am still getting an order in to chevy for build out?
Inaccurate info from the dealership, as last week's constraint report showed that the percentage of comp seats orders going through increased from 65 to 75% compared to the previous week. Perhaps, you dealer did not have relative "high enough allocation" to get your order placed, or something else. Here's a constraint report "snapshot" from last week.
I guess what I dont understand is that they can place my order with Chevy, they just cant do it with the competition seats? if I want the normal seats, then all is good and I go to build out. Does the dealer have to have a specific allocation that includes compeition seats?? Just not sure if I should wait or give up on the seats and press forward and save 2500.
I should state that I dont really intend to track the car, but I do love the way they look. Money is not really the issue, but the thought of waiting another several months really is depressing.

If you don't wait you may regret it later. I have considered doing without the carbon fiber instrument panel but I decided to wait until the 2015's come out. I'm optimistic the constraint will have improved by then.

I use my car primarily for around-town errands and road trips. I've been told the comp. seats are not all that comfortable for day-to-day use. No personal experience, though.

It all depends on what your dealer has for allocation. The estimated allocation for the Comp Seats is 75%. If your dealer only has one allocation, he may or may not get an allocation for the Comp seats. If he has two, he will likely get one and possibly two with the seats. 4 or more allocations , and he can order lots with seats. Now if your dealer has no allocation with seats, you're SOL. if he has 1 or 2, but you're third on his list of customers wanting seats, you're still SOL. For any of the above reasons, you're dealer has told you "not this week." Your choices are to wait or switch your order.
Personally, being somewhat broad of beam, and having no intention of tracking the car beyond an occasional HPDE at my local track, I skipped the Comp seats.
