Default Seat Memory Software Update?

Hi,
Have not seen anything lately on software change for the seat memory. To recall my setting I am still having to hold the button until all adjustments are completed. On my C6 you just toched it once and could grab the seat belt while it was going to the drive position. I have a standard trans if that makes a difference.

I have a 7 speed manual and just got the software update for the instrument panel issue and several others, but it did not address the memory issue with the manual transmission!

What do you mean by "just got the software update". Did your dealer notify you and you went in and had it done. Thanks

The software update that was mentioned above is for the IP being dim at dusk and dawn. This fixes the issue and you bring your car to your dealer and in about 30 minutes or less the issue is all fixed.

About the memory seat software update, I haven't heard of one. I was at my dealer last weekend getting my software done for the IP and the Corvette guy who was doing my install says he hasn't heard of one for the seats. I beleive it's not going to be addressed myself. The problem is on the 7 speed only. You have really two options.

1. Do program memory button 2 (in my case I use the 2nd fob) I have it programmed to go half way forward and half way with the tilt of the wheel, when door opens to get in automaticly.

2. I programmed the memory 1 position to take it to the correct drivers position for both the seat and wheel, although you do have to hold the number 1 button in until everything is in place.

Or option two, part two above is once inside you can start the car and then just touch the memory 1 button and it will auto goto the finished position without having to hold the button in.

These are your only options for a manual 7 speed car.

Thanks for the suggestions. Good idea with the 2nd FOB. In my case I need the seat to be moved up to be able to fully push in the clutch. Since it worked in the C6 lets hope GM decides to address the issue or at least let us know why they think it should be as it is!
