Default C7 mirrors

I am a little concerned with the additional width of the C7 over the C6. I have a C6 now and am looking now at a C7. My C6 barely squeezes into its garage stall. I use the right side mirror as my guide to fitting in. I miss the door sill by a scant few inches. An additional 1 1/4 inches of width on the side (overall width at mirrors is 2 5/8 wider on C7) is going to make it even touchier.
Has anyone heard of any one with an accessory to automatically fold the mirrors back? I know that some luxury cars and pickups have the feature but I think it folds them back when the ignition is turned off. This wouldn't help. Needs to be able to be done while driving car into garage.
Anyone??

Take your time backing up. I have 9 foot doors which are narrow. I keep the drivers side rear view mirror right next to the garage door jamb. That way I do not have to check both sides. Patience ...mirror folding mechanisms are added weight for the design people. Not likely to come from Chevrolet.

I was not aware of this. 2 5/8" wider at the mirrors would be a problem for me, too. All of the official specs I've seen quote the max width without mirrors as being about an inch narrower than C6. Thanks for posting this....
