Do all C7s come with folding mirrors? I tried to fold mine, but they didn't budge and I didn't want to push too hard for fear of breaking something.
Your post made me go out and try! Took a bit of force but they folded fine. The C7 is 2 1/2 inches wider, mirror to mirror tip, than the C6; at 85 inches it does not leave a lot of room from the molding in an 8 foot wide garage door opening! About 4 inches on either side of mine. Need to be careful when pulling in and out at night.
I was surprised that I couldn't pay a few dollars more for power folding mirrors.
I would have paid for that option as well. In fact when we bought my wife's SUV the one we purchased one having power folding mirrors. It was an instant choice in my mine over one that did not. We both always fold them before driving the car in our narrow garage door molding. Typically the cars sold in some overseas countries require power folding mirrors, as I recall. If the Vette has these in their export models, why not provide an option in the US? Sure would a help when pulling into and out of the garage at night!
When we built the house opted for three 8 foot doors and a personal door in the garage. Since we cannot have the doors facing the street, this added depth to the house. No room for three 9 foot doors and a personal door. 17 years ago 8 foot was fine for our cars, including my '93 Vette. They have all become wider!

I ditched my personal door for 2 9 foot openings with 4 feet in between each door.
