We are picking up our car at the Museum 1-8-14. First paint detail will be shortly after. I've used Rejex in the past with our C6. Not much buzz with it lately.
Via a thread by GlenE, I first heard of the Blackfire line of car care products. One of their pricier sealants is Blackfire Wet Diamond. A lot of glowing promotion about it. It is supposed to produce a 'wet look'.
So is a wet look a good deal or not? I don't know. Any Blackfire Wet Diamond users out there?
The real key for me to blackfire stuff is not the gloss or durability, hell, they all do that...it's the Ease of use, it glides on and wipes off, no hard buffing. Wet diamond is a great sealant.

I use it but not by itself...I use this combo and man the dept and shine is out of this world and 30 plus years of owning cars and trying all sorts of products this is what I find the best...
1..I clay bar any brand is fine here I use Mequiars
2..I polish the car with Wolfgang 3.0 Total Swirl Remover then
I top that with the Wolfgang 3.0 Finishing Glaze.
3..I put two good coats of Black Fire Wet Diamond sealer I leave that cure over night then I apply two coats of Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax.
Believe me you try this combo and I bet you'll not try anything else I've won many best in show shine with this combo...the BF sealer gives it that sparkling candy like shine and the PS carnuba wax gives it that deep wet look like the car was just painted I get complements ever where I go about the shine on my car.

Hi after you do that process, what do you do to maintain the shine...just add coats of wax every few months?
thanks

you have to use a machine polisher for mirror results.... as one detailer friend said to me a long time ago, "the hand cannot move at 1500 rpm" which is what it takes to get rid of swirls and the like
A random orbital is screw up proof for a novice, with a med foam polishing pad. Griot's garage makes the best polisher, IMO...

Just a light spray with with the the Meguiars Quick Detailer and your good to go but I will always put a coat of PS once a month anyway no reason except that I like waxing my car.

LOL me too - Meg's spray Quik wax is a polymer that I use monthly...The blackfire spray polymer is not that good, I found....
I use the Porter Cable 7424 XP...I use the orange medium cutting pad with the swirl remover and use the White Finishing pad for the Finishing Glaze...the 7424 is safe you got no fear of burning through the clear coat of your car.

I agree when it comes to the polishing the PC is better than by hand for sure but the waxing I do by hand just my preference but the machine will work just fine with that also.
