Default Another Arctic white thread

See below for links to video and lots of pics.
My car was produce 12/3/13, VIN 8854. Delivered to Kerbeck in NJ on 12/20/13, I picked it up yesterday, 12/21/13 and drove it back to long island, NY.

Base arctic white, 3lt with NPP. Transparent roof.

Random thoughts:

Dealership - Kerbeck, Atlantic CIty, NJ - They PDI'd\washed the car but do not wax it, I was told they never do, on vettes anyway. It looked great when I first saw it. My salesman was Ron Michael and I enjoyed doing business with him. He was very helpful and thorough, made me very feel very comfortable. He worked hard to be sure I was satisfied and to answer all my questions. Very efficient dealership.

NAV - i like it so far, not sure why others don't. The voice commands are pretty easy to use, map looks modern to me.

1-4 skip - not an issue at all on my car, after 172 miles on all sorts of roads, stop and start, I was never forced into it. I'll see it in the DIC for a split second but it goes away soon enough.

Audio - I am fairly critical of audio systems (evidently not as critical as others) and I rate it as very good. I think most people will find it adequate. I will say that pandora sounds great through my iphone, much better than most XM channels. I opted to upgrade pandora to commercial free, it's only $4 a month, much less expensive that XM. Pandora requires data while XM is satellite, of course. It's boomy but just calibrate the bass, lower it it a bit, and you are good to go. I also increased the mid an upper ranges a bit. I used a 2 gig stick with about 167 songs, not a lot, but it found them all fine. All ports work as designed.

Interior - Other than the sill plate I am having a very difficult time finding anything wrong with the car, including the interior.
Some people say that the 3lt adrenaline red is to much red and they'd get tired of it. At this point, I never see that happening. I love it. The interior is really nice.

Note that the sill plate in the pics doesn't look very good, it could have been put on better, seems to be "bubbles" in it. It's pretty much the only thing wrong with the car so far.

Exterior - paint looks flawless. no complaints.

Rev matching - I have it on a lot of the time but I may keep it off until the car is broken in and learn to hit all the gears when I want them. I am having difficulty finding some of the gears when I want them. For example, with rev matching on if I want to downshift into 4 from 6th, a few times I went into second, the engine would rev as it should before I lifted off the clutch and it would red line for a bit until I corrected myself, not good when breaking it in.
Overall I think I am going to like it a lot.

Comfort - the seats are very comfortable but I think I need to adjust as I developed a sore neck after about two hours of driving. My passenger never complained and said the ride was comfortable the entire time, she is 5'5", I am 5' 7". The level of adjustments on the seat is impressive.

The blue and red on-star lites on the mirrors - someone mentioned they bother them, I don't have the peripheral vision of an eagle so it's a non-issue for me.

Closing the hatch - easy, just shut it a bit harder than you think it might need, non-issue. I like to use my right hand when i can with the small indentation in the hood that is made for doing this.

Heated\vented seats - heat takes to long to be noticed, cooling is quick but only seems to cool my butt and not my lower back.

Heating controls - temperature gauge seems to work great, I heard cars produced after 11/15 (about) got all software updates which corrected issues with heating controls and the DIC dimming.

AC - sorry to say but I am in NY and wont know for at least 3 - 4 months.

Thoughts regarding am I sorry I didn't get a z51 - nope.

Overall What do it think of the car - fantastic car, best money I ever spent.

Video (youtube changed the color of the seats, sorry, added a tinge of blue):

Pics (color of red seats should be accurate in the pics):

Love the video. Also love the color combo from a long time Arctic White C5 guy. Crazy bird sounds in the video. Post another with the engine running. Have a Merry Christmas

How in the hell can any one concentrate on looking at the car with all those birds squawking in the back ground?

Sure is pretty in White.

I thought the seats were a little more on the Burgundy side when I saw one in person.

Congrats! Just picked up mine (2LT, Nav, NPP, BV4) on Dec. 9th from Kerbeck too. I agree on every point in your assessment. Good luck and have fun!

The car is awesome. No questions.
The owner is a good man. I enjoyed his car review, the pictures, and the video he posted on this Sunday evening.
Congratulations, thank you, and merry Christmas to you and family.

thanks everyone!

To my eyes, the adrenaline red seats will look closer to burgundy under some lighting conditions, namely when in shadow, indoors or when it is darker outside.

The camera I shoot with (canon 1dx) has just about the best auto white balance money can buy in a digital camera. All these pics were taken in natural light, outdoors, and I feel represent the color well.

When it stops raining, I'll add authentic c7 engine sounds! sorry about that

Thanks for the accurate color representation. My wife and I have been agonizing on this same color combination for sometime now. The pictures make it clear that it's a match to torch red, not crystal red. Anyway, lovely ride! Congrats!!!

Not being a smarta**, but did you take the protective plastic off the sill plates? Don't see how they could have "bubbles".

The birds come standard with all new Stingrays to inform the driver if cops are ahead.
