Default Another suede insert question

Not sure if this has been covered or not, but is the seat cushion with the suede insert option less firm than with the base seat? I got a chance to sit in a 3LT and I think the Nappa leather was a little more comfortable than the 2LT I sat in. I can't justify the upgrade for this reason on a black interior car. It's not easy to compare seats since most of the C7s are pre sold.

We sat in a 3lt without the micro suede and a 2lt with.

Immediately my wife said I needed to order the micro suede. It was her first comment, based on the 3lt seat being "too stiff". Now, this was a cold day and the cars were outside but I did agree with her that the 3lt seat without the inserts was less comfortable.

I ended up ordering 2lt in black with the inserts.

Thanks. It makes sense that the suede would be a little more giving than the 2LT or even the Nappa leather in the 3LT, but I doubt I'll ever see one that isn't spoken for. I wish I could sit in one with the suede.

The micro-fiber suede is going to feel "softer" than either of the leathers *Mulan or Napa). I don't think "less firm" is the correct description. JMHO

Well, I know what you're saying but 2 cars outside on a rainy 40F day and the non-micro suede felt like a brick when you sat on it initially.

I ordered the comp seats which are supposed to be firmer yet, but added the inserts. Hopefully they offset each other a little, or my wife doesn't need to ride along.

and if you look at my spreadsheet in the C7 forum you will see the different interior colors, seat selections and those with and without the suede inserts.
