Default Where Are Weekly Constraint Updates?

Did a search but couldn't find any recent constraint updates. Has anyone heard for sure when the constraints on Z51, comp seats and carbon fiber dash will end? Everyone seems to be getting their cars delivered but me and it is getting frustrating.

The items were loosening up, but still running limited production (before the holiday shutdown). I wouldn't expect to see any updates until the end of next week since they are still closed.

I feel you on the frustration, I'm still waiting too, and my dealer is getting allocations, just not enough for the people in line like me that want all of the hard to order items. Our day will come.

dealers made their easy cash by pumping the hype of the new model for a few months by being active on the forum now they seem to just sit back and enjoy the sales as they trickle in. Also IMHO why GM'er quit posting on the forum since he just wanted to get all the 1st buyers taken care of and then the rest are on their own.. All IMHO....

It was inevitable that GM'r would succumb to exhaustion at some point. While I never made it on his list, I think we all recognize what an extraordinary service he performed while everything was up in the air.

I think the initial rush for all of us that was ready and did buy has slowed and now sales will slow up .I see a lot of betts setting on lots and ads in the newspaper from dealers with cars to sell, again IMHO

I felt the same way as you do, well up until 10 days ago when mine finally arrived. I too ordered Z51 and comp seats and kept wondering when the hell my car was going to show up. The only advice I can offer is be patient, I am somewhat glad that it took so long because it gave them a chance to work out most of the bugs that plagued a lot of the earlier models so just think of it as a blessing in disguise.

Good luck and don't worry, yours will come.

with 1/2 the country buried in snow i don't think it is corvette buying weather. new corvette models should come out in the spring when people are in a car buying mood. the mrs was in the car business for 15 years and when someone came in and there was snow on the roads you knew he needed a car and was going to buy.

GM was saying all along they were going to open it up to all dealers after six months as long as the small dealers agree to buying the needed special tools and complete the required training.

As I have been led to believe, the constraints are only experienced by the small volume corvette dealerships; the big corvette dealerships get all they want.

Through my experience as a GM tier one supplier, I can guarantee that any supplier keeping GM from delivering sold units will be working around the clock during the holidays to get up to schedule. I would bet most restrictions will end after the holidays. The only exceptions will be engineering changes that had not yet received approval. This should be a very limited number.
