Well, I am sure the price will increase for the 2015. How many cars, even Kia's, don't have some sort of price increase model year over model year?

Just means bigger discounts under MSRP on the 2015 than the 2014 when the time comes.

"Expected" means they think there will be a price increase, but have no concrete information from GM.

Based on Corvette history, we should expect some price increase from year to year, so the fact a dealer saiid it is not earth shattering news.

Just bought a Silverado last week, over $6000 in rebates plus great trade-in for 2004 Saturn. I am sure they are able to do this because of the price increases.

Here in Canada GM lowered the 2014 starting MSRP almost $10K from the 2013 MSRP because of the parity between the US and CDN dollar for almost 5 years (We've been getting screwed for a while). Now that's changed back in the last few months (my purchase from Summit Racing last night was $1CND=$0.91US).

That means all of the US purchases will be subsidizing the Canadian cars unless GM reverses their pricing. In my opinion they will have no choice and the starting MSRP in Canada will go back up by 10-15% for 2015.

So if you're all worried about a small adjustment in the US just be glad you're not up here in Canada!!!

I'm glad my 2014 gets built next week. All the Canadian 2014 allocations are gone and I've heard the 2015's are mostly as well. Used US cars are listed for MSRP +++ (up to $20K over list USED!!) so if the MSRP jumps $5-7K it will be that much longer before deprecation even brings us back to "normal" values.

I don't know where you are getting your information but all Canadian allocations are not gone. It is still easy to get a 2014 and 2015 models will be just as easy. Your dealer is probably spreading this information about shortages just to get orders.

Ok I was actually referring to the allocations in the GTA so you may be right, there could be somewhere in the country where a dealer has something left.

I've talked to many of the dealers in the west end and all confirmed there are none left for 2014 and they have wait lists for 2015 that will take all the allocations they expect to receive.

Oh and none of this comes from the dealer I bought through as he's not local to me.

Probably a bad move to increase price.. In a year or two the "new" will start to wear off and GM needs to keep sales going, not drop off... A price increase could hurt sales... Think about the long term sales. Don't get greedy... The Corvette has a sweet spot right now. Keep it and enjoy it.

As with most things, the price won't remain the same forever. No doubt there will be an increase in '15.
