Default Another Stupid Question

I have a C7 2LT Coupe. To the left of the steering wheel, on the dash, right next to the remote trunk release button, is another button with "Off" on it. I have poured through my Owner's Manuel in an effort to ascertain what this "Off" button does. Only having had my new C7 for less than 2 weeks, I'm curious as to what said "Off" button does.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That turns off the motion detector for the alarm. So your dog won't set it off if left in car.

Not sure. Never noticed it before. Could it be for the HUD?

From page 1-3:

13. Hatch/Trunk Release Button.
See Hatch (Trunk) on page 2-14.
Intrusion and Inclination Sensors Disable Switch. See
Vehicle Alarm System on page 2-16.

From 2-16:

Intrusion and Inclination Sensors Disable Switch
It is recommended that the intrusion and inclination sensors be
deactivated if pets are left in the vehicle or the vehicle is being
transported. With the vehicle turned off, press [off]
on the right side of the hatch release button. The indicator light
will come on momentarily, indicating that these sensors have been
disabled for the next alarm system arming cycle.
