I haven't had my windows tinted in many years and thinking about it now. Does it still streak fom windows going up and down? I live in a rural area without much highway lighting and don't want to go too dark..any help, suggestions for my black C7!
Get a quality tint that has a lifetime warranty. If anything happens, you get it replaced for free. FYI, TN law requires 35% Visible Light Transmission and that is the combined tint plus original window (which are slightly tinted).
I think you'll be happy with ceramic tint. Excellent performance with a great warranty. 25% - 20% on the rear window and 35% - 25% on the side windows.
I just had mine done last week. It looks great.
Nebraska requires 35% side, but I did 30% and 20% on back and I also did 20%. I have a TR and the black colored tint looks very sharp with the black trim of the vents etc.
Pictures of tint on TR? I am about to order the TR and will tint as well. In the past I have always installed legal tint but I have made up my mind to go darker on the C7 since I think dark creates much better contrast. I wonder how much hassle you really get by law enforcement on tinting anyway.

In Ontario we have the same legal requirement of 35% on the drivers and passengers front window (no limit behind and no tint allowed on the windshield). All my vehicles have 5% on the rears (on top of factory tint) and 20% on the drivers and passengers windows. I've never been bothered by the cops but that might be because the vehicles are allways black so it makes the dark tint blend better.

I hate to actually post this pic as its a really crappy one but it gives you an idea. I hate it when red looks orange.
But it gives you an idea ... you can see through the side windows, you can still see the steering wheel etc, at 30% and the rear window is pretty dark at 20%. Looking in the back window I can not see the corvette flags on the window screen inside the back window anymore.
With this car Im trying to stay somewhat legal. I went as far as getting a Nebraska Special Interest plate, just so I could legally only have one plate. Ive been pulled over before, have received two warnings in my Camaro. I live in a small town and was close to getting a ticket the next time.....
I've tinted all my cars. recommend to do it sooner than later to avoid containments on the glass surface.
I have a great tint shop up the road from my office and very happy with the results. The shop metered the factory tint prior to the install:
Doors: 7%
Sides and rear: 13%
I prefer a seamless tint around the car, so I went with 35% all around. The widows appear slightly darker on the sides and rear, happy with the results.
