According to the VIN decoding link, everything after the 5 (BG assembly) is the sequence. My VIN ends in 111822 which would seem to indicate all produced C7s sequence # start with a 1 (can't believe 111K have been produced)
Yes, but vehicle such as the Heritage Edition have their own sequences so these must be counted too. The total built is higher because of this.
Yep, I agree. That is why I qualified my response with a "basically". The 12 digit will vary for the "special" editions. I believe 3 was used for the Coupe special edition, not sure if they are using 3 for the vert special edition or not. "Normal" versions will be a 1.

No, as there is duplication in the last five characters in the VIN because of captured test fleet cars, special editions, etc.. To see how many cars were built before yours, look at the inked number on the tires. and subtract one from it.
