Is it feasible to fly into Nashville on a Thursday evening and do the factory tour, museum tour, and take delivery all on Friday?
Yes, the drive from the Nashville airport to BG is less than an hour. The whole process including Factory Tour, Delivery, and Museum takes about 6-8 hours depending on how much time you take. I did a similar night to morning situation when I picked up my 2008.

When you did it on a Friday with your 08 what order did you do things that day?
It was a Wednesday, but we flew into Nashville the night before and drove straight to BG on Tuesday night. I don't recall the order, but I think they usually do the factory tour first, then the delivery, then the museum tour.

We just picked up our 'vert' Wednesday. Our appointed time was 10:30 but we got there around 9:30 and began the process. They are really flexible and will work to your time schedule. We've had over a dozen Corvettes since 1968 but this was our first R8C. I would encourage you to take the time to get the full benefit of the program.
These folks are fantastic and you can see it in their enthusiasm. In our case Chris (our host) began with the paperwork. That took about 15 minutes. We boarded the van for the ride across the street for the factory tour after a brief safety video at the museum. The tour was around 90 minutes or so. It's at your pace and a function of your questions.
After that we returned to the museum for lunch at the Corvette Café and some shopping at the gift shop. They will take you into the 'back room' and show you the stuff that's only available to the museum delivery buyers.
After that we did the tour of the museum. We'd been there about 6 times in the last 19 years but this was still interesting and informative plus we saw stuff that the general public doesn't have access to.
After that we went through the vehicle orientation. We were out of there at 3:30. It would have been sooner except we took a lot of pictures and got 6 or 8 calls from friends who were watching back in Texas and Michigan on the webcam.
Again, this is really a very special deal and I'd encourage you to take full advantage of the opportunity. We were back in Ft Worth (just under 800 miles) in a day and a half and that was at a fairly relaxed pace.

Great run down on your experience. I was really tempted to do this when I ordered my 07 but lived in California at the time and distance combined with lack of time prevented it. Don't want to miss out this time!
Is the factory tour the same as the public tour or is it more in depth ? Also does museum delivery come with a complimentary C7 jacket ?
It seemed that a lot more was covered..... paint for example as well as the frame assembly, the cowl with the windshield support and the whole instrument panel.... that kind of stuff. We also got to see them doing preliminary work on the 'high performance engine' build area. They were still setting up work stations but were also doing a 'walk through' of the build process too.
If there was a jacket we didn't get one.... and it was cold enough that day to wear a couple of 'em!
One thing that really made you feel good were the workers who came up and said 'thank you' for buying the car. One even said that we were helping to put his kids through college. That's not the UAW of old!

The tour is one on one with a personal guide. Much more detail and you can take as long as you like, ask questions, etc. Sorry, no jacket, unless you buy one in the store.

Thanks for the reply. I saw a guy on the webcam the other day wearing a jacket that's why I asked. I was at the plant in October for the public tour so that why I am doing Museum delivery hopefully in the next few weeks.
