I just received word from GM Customer service my Corvette has a Target production of 1/20. Can someone tell me what that really means and how long from that date before it is ready to ship to the dealer. by the way it is a CG, Z51 2lt Kalahari int. It has been a long wait and although it is winter in NY I would like to get it home in the garage.

It means your car is scheduled to start down the line during the week of Jan 20. It could start on Monday or any other day of that week. It could be released to ship immediately after production or it could get pulled for QC for some reason. Depending on where you live, shipping could be a few days or several weeks if it has to get on a train.

The key letter in TPW is the T, for targeted. I had a TPW of 1/6 and it wasn't built. I have a VIN so likely going to get done early this week, I hope anyway.

Thank you I was actually wondering about the TARGET and how often they hit it, but it looks like it's finally going to happen, thank you very much for the information.

I was at 3400 with a TPW of 1/6 since 12/18.

Yesterday (1/10) I went to 4B00 and I have the VIN as well as dealer invoice

(just thought of something. Wouldn't it have to be past being bayed and at least at 4150 if there's an invoice?)

I got a TPW in early September of 11/11/13 for my vert. The car came off the line 11/15 - Friday of that week. Museum delivery on 12/11. These were some of the first convertibles so there was a 2 week QC and then time setting up the museum delivery date. Good luck.
