Next to the trunk release button to the left of the steering wheel and low on the dash there is a button to its right. In the short summary of controls in the owners packet it calls it an "Advanced Theft Protection" button. However in the owner's manual I cannot find what it does or how and when to use it ? Maybe its just me and maybe it has been covered before somewhere in this forum but could someone please let me know. Thanks.

Intrusion and Inclination Sensors Disable Switch
It is recommended that the intrusion
and inclination sensors be
deactivated if pets are left in the
vehicle or the vehicle is being
transported.
With the vehicle turned off, press
on the right side of the hatch
release button. The indicator light
will come on momentarily, indicating
that these sensors have been
disabled for the next alarm system
arming cycle.

It's for the motion sensor, part of the anti theft system. I left my windows open at a car show and threw a paper into my C7 and the alarm went on, boy was I and everyone else around the C7 surprised.
