I agree, for me it just baffles me of why they wouldnt use the space(coupe not possible with vert) to accomadate tall drivers as Ive never heard of a short person claiming they want less legroom. If they trimmed up the area behind the seat it looks like theres enough for a modification.

I agree 6' 8" and I had a hard time fitting. So much so that I do not think there is a C 7 in my future

I got to sit in one over the weekend. The C7 seems smaller on the inside than the C6 I do not think that it is a better fit for us shorter guys either.

The bottom of the seat must have been designed with you taller guys in mind as the end of the seat is too long those of us with shorter legs. It takes a while to adjust it so that it is somewhat comfortable. While the C7 seat holds you better, I found it not to be as comfortable as my C6.

I looks like the designers in their attempt to make the interior a class act have neglected to consider the seating requirements of the opposite ends of the spectrum of shorter & taller individuals.

I guess it could be worse..... It could have been designed with optional "blocks on the pedals" for us shorter guys

I hope they can help us guys out. I am only 6 2' but I didn't fit well in my c7 coupe so I sold it! Also I couldn't get my passenger seat to drop down like the drivers so it was hitting on the b pillar. I sat in a convertible today and I liked it better. It was better for me to not have the halo of the coupe crowding me. I would love a frc.

I'm 6'3" and I fit fine. It isn't height, it's proportion.

Regarding your issue with the Passenger Seat. When I saw you first mention it, I went out and checked my Car. The top of the Seat was indeed rubbing against the material where the B Pillar crosses.

I adjusted the Passenger seat height lower to match the driver's seat and there is no contact between the seat and the B Pillar. I'm not sure why you had an issue. I have a 2LT with the Competition Seats, so maybe it's just an issue with the stock GT Seats.

If leg room isn't an issue, get a C7 Convertible. I've found that Convertible Tops offer a little more Headroom. When you lower the Top, you have a head as big as Jay Leno's and still be fine.

That is one of the main reasons I am choosing the ragtop as well. I am 6'5" and honestly did not find either car to be really short on space, but I do not want the constraint that the halo might cause. It will be a distant third car, so i really do not envision ever driving it with the top up anyhow!

Legroom was ok. My last 2 vettes were a grandsport convertible and a z06. I bought my auto c7 coupe to drive everyday to work. I soon found out my suv was a lot more comfy. For a weekend toy I prefer a z06 or convertible.

I agree! I got a great deal on my coupe and had to go with that style for the price. If I can find a vert for 4000 off msrp. I will go ahead and get one. If not I will wait on the 2015.

just tried the c7 today, and did not fit. I am 6'1 280. fit was snug, but not a problem, had legroom,, but my head would hit the halo if i straightened up. Had maybe 1/2 clearance on my head.
Anyone know if anyone makes a seat lowering kit. Had one in my viper and was able to drop the seat 1-2 inches depending on the bracket.

I'm 6'4" and I have about 2-3 inches of headroom. Probably because on the day I picked it up I took an extra 3 seconds to adjust the seat correctly.

Wow way to be helpful, wish I thought to try to adjust the seat.

Some guys have more height in their legs, some in their torsos, so what fits one 6'4" guy may not fit another.

Usually the car manufacturers have people of a wide range of ages and sizes (and both sexes) test drive their early production cars to test for these kinds of problems. It's not uncommon to see several little caravans of four or five cars each cruising through downtown Flint or on the Michigan interstates doing this, and when they stop to compare notes and trade cars you'll see like one tiny grandma, one skinny young guy, one big guy, etc., etc. I wonder if they assumed that everyone driving a C7 would be a fit 45-year-old or something similar.

Default Drivers seat rubbing the carpet on console

Because I am only 5'7" and need to move the seat, I have noticed a wear pattern on the carpet on center console.
It is very tight between seat and console. I can't get my finger between.
Anyone else seeing this wear pattern ? I only have 1200 miles.
Can the seat be move over ?

Thanks Jerry

I do not in any way intend to dismiss those who say the fit is too tight for them. All I will say is that I’m 6’ 3” and toward the leggy side and I found both the driver’s and passenger’s sides comfortable for me. Don
