Default 1 More Window Tint Question????

I want to do this right and am asking for help….I have talked to a couple of tinters in my local area (Knoxville). In talking with them they use Sun Tek carbon film. Does anyone have any experience with it? It sounds like a great product but there is nothing like experience….

Thanks in advance!

The film I told you about the other day was LLumar. I see that a lot of owners use SunTek paint protection film (clear bra), so I would think their window film would be a good product, but don't know. I used 3M and am satisfied with it.

Not to hijack but if you have any input about the Llumar clear bra, I'd love to hear it - PM me if you do

I have Suntek Carbon on my C5, works well in all regards (shade, UV, quality). Its been on for 3 years and looks great. As with any tint, make sure you don't use any glass cleaners (etc...) on it. I use a wet rag and thats its. You can also use mild soap solutions.

Suntek carbon film is an excellent tint to go with. I have had it on two of my vehicles and was very happy with both. Their paint protection film is also outstanding. A far as Llumar I hear their tint is pretty good but their paint protection film is very poor. I tested their latest film out and it looked terrible after a few months. Either Suntek or Xpel Ultimate are the way to go when it comes to paint protection.

Welcome to the C7, I am more than happy with my purchase from Reeder..I believe I have met everyone that works there and they have all been professional and courteous…..Not extremely knowledgable about the Stingray….talk with Rick.

We don't have a big selection of "Pro Tinters" in our area. I am thinking about using (Dr Detail, 865 851-7907 Chad). I spoke with him on the phone and then went and met him.

I feel comfortable that they will do a quality job. I am going with Sun Tek Carbon 38 Black. We live in a very rural area that doesn't have a lot of highway lighting. I don't want to block my side vision and not be able to see what comes wandering out of the woods. As you know we have lots of furry creatures that decide to cross our path.

I am not having mine done until next week, I have a a sample book and want to make sure I do it right the first time. Feel free to call or email me……who knows, maybe we can get a deal!!

Rick is who I ordered my car from. So far I am happy with Rick. My car was built 1/16/14 so I do not have it quite yet. He said Sound Factory across the street from them has done a good job on tinting for them. Did you check sound factory out?

I will be interested in finding out how Dr Detail does for you. I have heard the Sun Tek is good stuff. I also understand about being a rural area, 20 miles to town for me I will still probably go the darkest legal.
