Buy the Ragg Top Convertible Top Care Kit. It includes a spray bottle of fabric cleaner and an aerosol can of protectant. The kit is available online from AutoGeek which is a forum supporting vendor. We have used it weekly on our C6 black top and it looks fantastic after 7 years.
Don't pop for the suggested companion cleaning brush. It seems like a good idea, it is not. It disintegrated the first time I used it. I had to remove all the bristles stuck to the top by hand.

I agree with Rag Top, maybe not every week. I use a sponge to wipe the dust off. Lint free, does a great job. I have a 1995 with the original black top and it looks like new.

My C6 vert is eight years old and my black top looks like new. I do garage the car and have about 40k miles on it. My secret: water. I shoot the top at full pressure with the hose when I wash the car. Have never used anything else. When I had a tan top on my C5 I used various products and after a few years the top faded.
I know it will sound wierd to everyone else but for some reason I like the look of a tan top after years outside in the elements...gives the car character. Just me.
I sprayed several coats of fabric protector on my c6 cashmere top. I don't know if it made a difference but when I sold it 6 yrs. later it was like new.
