Looks great. I have a stick shift too with white stitching.
QUESTION: will the red dye last on my shifter because I'm grabbing it all the time as opposed to the red dye on the less touched areas like the doors and dashboard?

Wow. Any tips on the application? How many stitches before I wipe? How long did the red dye last on your stick shift because your hand grabs it all the time?

It a simple job. With the protective coating on the leather you just hit the threads, and wipe. I started with 2 stitches, and by the time I finished I was doing 4-6 depending on what part on the interior I was working with. The top of the dash is harder to get to so I did only 2-3 because on the timing. On the doors I would do approx. 6 as it went quicker. I'm sure you understand what I'm saying. After I finished on section I would go back for touch-up as I found after the tip wore down it wouldn't get into the "V" where the stitches went together as good when new. Just grab your favorite beverage, hit your favorite radio station, a couple old micro fiber rags, and you like the outcome. Mines been done over a year, and stills good good.

FYI: I used the Marvy permanent fabric marker.

As far as the shifter I can't say. Mines an A8.

Thinking about ordering the new Sebring Orange with black interior.. What color stitching comes with black interior? If it's gray or white, then I can use the orange dye pen but if it's black stitching, then I guess I can't dye it, according to previous threads. Any comments please! Thanks

My black interior has white stitching. 2017 GS. Good idea on the orange pen.

This thread finally made me do mine. Just finished. Took about 1 1/2 hrs. Extremely easy to do. Took longer to find a colour that would look good with Black Rose. Rub the pen along the stitching for about 6" and then wipe of the residue.

I love this idea. However, I have the Black Suede Edition interior with Alcantara on the shifter, dash, etc. Has anyone tried to do this on suede? Thanks.

I'm not sure that the dye would wipe off the suede. Maybe you could try it on a section that is not exposed. Hopefully you can make it work because it does look good.

Decided to take the plunge and dye the stitching on my 2019 Sebring Orange Grand Sport. Came out better than I expected! Used the Orange Fabricmate pen

LOL . . . even though it does look great, I like the white on the inside and orange on the outside.
