Are there any general problems that have been found with the new C7?
Thx
i think what the prior 2 posters were trying to say is yes, there is a site (as shown) but unfortunately it has over 100,000 views, and 899 posts. there is no summary of this site (that i have seen, nor presumably our more playful members above), unfortunately, which concisely lists alphabetically the issue you may have a concern with. if im wrong, will someone please abuse me and advise accordingly. so, essentially you are left with 2 options: post a specific issue you have, and see if someone will answer, or go through the 899 posts, one by one.

I feel your pain...
My impression from loosely tracking the issues dialogue: some owners have had sporadic issues with the center display, but apparently resolved easily.
Several have had dings and scratches on delivery (and one busted windshield) from road gravel hitting the car underway on the transporter and getting under the white cover.
In general, though, am impressed that this has been a very clean new-model launch ... which is becoming much the norm across the industry. The delivery process at your dealer has a lot of GM specs and requirements behind it — you should end up with a car having no known probe when you get it.
I agree with thedofuss. There may be new information some people found out that did not post in that very long thread so I see no harm in posting this question. Too many people get their rocks off by abusing posters who they claim create needless posts, however, I find that those posts are the most meaningless of all. And they are so predictable.
That long thread also discussed an issue with some rear ends on the Z51 models where people are getting Check Axel warnings due to a fluid level issue that may be caused by a leaky seal or the fluid not filled all the way.
Like Rubber Ducky says, it's been a pretty clean launch of this new C7 so far. But we all know cars are not supposed to break until the warranty expires.

Very well said!
I will add, that when it comes to forums, you will hear more about problems than you will about the good. That thread that lists issues is worth reading through if you can put your blinders on and consolidate issues. From reading through that thread, one might come to the conclusion that the car has lots of problems however the vast majority based on (previous poll here) have been trouble free. Sure there are some isolated issues but most of those bugs were ironed out with software updates and or additional QC checks during or after production.
I have a new C7 being delivered to me today and I'm not the least bit concerned about issues. The Corvettes that I've owned prior to this new one have been some of the most trouble free vehicles that I have ever owned and I expect the new C7 will follow suit.
If you are considering a C7, don't let the problems scare you. The forum community is a very vocal bunch of people and as I said previously, you tend to hear more about the bad then the good.

I have had no problems and I just turned 3400 miles. Vin 2839.
Others have had minor fitment issues, a squeak, and of course one paint issue (major repaint), and some with orange peel (most corvettes since inception)!
I have had many corvettes (00FRC; 01Z; 02Z; 04Z, 05 Coupe;
06Z (2); 07Z; 08Z; and now 1 2014 Z-51) but none have been as nice as the current model. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed every one I previously owned, BUT, the 2014 is the finest one yet.
1800 miles. No problems. Yesterday my XM sound cut out, but it is back. More likely an XM problem than a C7 problem. It is a great car and unfortunately, with every car model, someone has problems. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the C7 to any of my enthusiast friends.
to thedufuss. My dash went blank once. Came on the next time I started the car. Also have had problem with the FAV and VOL buttons. Now they have started working. The Customer Service person on the Forum has started a case file for me. The fix is being worked on. Just my 2 cents, but as another poster has said, I would not let these minor problems stop me from buying.
There is one MAJOR flaw with the C7. It puts a huge smile on everybody that purchases one. GM is looking into how to correct this serious flaw, however they think it may be impossible to correct. Be prepared if you purchase a C7, this will happen to you. You've been warned.
From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

having them no in alphabetical order isn't such a bad thing, it forces you to read the entire thread searching for a resolution to your problem but in doing so you might find other solutions to problems that you forgot about. There is no such thing of having too much information.
