Default HUD settings

Does anyone know how to make the HUD show the same screen it had when turned off? We like to have just the speed showing, but on start up it always goes to the full speedometer.
One more thing, the manual states there is a place to jump start the car under the hood, I can't find it.
This C7 is fantastic, much better than my Grand Sport and it was good.

The HUD should reflect your drive setting, the default for tour is speed only. If by chance you have it in sport when shut down then you will get that display on start up, you then have to manually change the HUD to speed only, as far as I know there is no way to force the HUD to stay in the speed only mode if you change the drive mode setting it will follow. Track displays the Track HUD, Sport displays the Sport HUD and Weather, Eco and Tour displays the Tour HUD (Speed only).

I think some place in the manual it actually shows the locations for jumping the battery, but I am not near my manual, hopefully someone else will chime in.

if you unlink your display to drive mode, it will stay with speed only on the HUD...

Please be more specific, how do you unlink your display to drive mode?
I still want to be able to change it to the full speedometer and other settings if I desire.

The owners manual states there is a place under the hood to jumpstart the car, but it does not show any pictures where it is just not tell you where it is. If anyone knows a location that can help I would really appreciate it thank you.

Search the C7 forum for jump battery, and you'll see threads about this very subject.

See this post for the answer.

Spend some time browsing the sticky threads at the top of the page. Lots of info there.
