Default top not right?

I bought a 2014 premier edition ,it came with the regular seethrew top instead of the visible carbon fiber w/ body color surround. The dealer said this was because G.M. ran out of tops, does anyone know if this is true?

Lots of threads here about the non transparent roofs being on constraint.

Every Premier Edition I have seen (four) had the transparent roof both on the car and on the build sheet.

What did the window sticker show (in particular, what did you pay for)? The MSRP on the Transparent top is $1000 less than the Exposed Carbon Fiber top. If you paid for the CF top, you have a strong case that you are entitled to the CF top.

The announced MSRP on the Premier edition was $75,760 and that included the exposed carbon fiber roof. If you paid the $76,755 you've been screwed. They took the Premier edition MSRP of $75,760 (which includes the CF top) and then added the transparent roof option which is $995 for the total of $76,755. You paid for TWO roofs, but only got one (the cheaper one).

In other words with just the transparent top on your Premier Edition C7 the MSRP should be $74760.

$75760 - $1995 (cf top) = $73765 (with $0 for painted top only)

$73765 + $995 (trans top) = $74760
