Don't waste your money on the GM "battery protection package". Go buy a tender for $30 from a number of other sources

Is there no advantage to their's over third party tenders? I have about 6 CTEk's for instance that I use on our Mustang, my old Vette, waverunners, boat, and tractor.

Nope, none. Use one of your CTEKs and you're good to go

I think you will love your choices when you get it. The Museum delivery was awesome. Recommend you request the 7:30am delivery. We did the 10:30am delivery and ran out of time (we spent over 4 hours on the plant tour). You can see my delivery review at My museum delivery and drive home (lot of pics)

The only "advantage" is that it has the Corvette logo on it and it shows up on your window sticker. It matters to some people for resale value.

Congrats on your decision, and good luck on getting an early Spring delivery. Are you aware of the constraints on Z51 and FAY carbon fiber interior and how the size of your dealer [allocations] may affect your delivery date?

Nope. I was told that by a Forum member when I was trying to decide if I wanted one. I ended up getting one, but only because I like the Corvette logo on it (I don't ever plan to sell mine). Yes, I know it's probably not worth the extra cost, but when you fork over $70K for the car, $100 is a drop in the bucket.

Yes I am, looks like I will order through Ken Fichtner, I reached out to pretty much all of the forum dealers and he has been by far the most responsive, in some cases I received zero response. He says he can work me in on the Z51 package with allocations he has however I have not asked about the carbon fiber, if it creates a significant delay I might pass on it.

Thanks for the advice, we will be looking for 7:30 on a Friday as I am limited on vacation time this year, well not limited but with a daughter graduating from college in California and some other stuff the time I have is mostly committed. I am really looking forward to the museum delivery, I ordered my 07 and passed on the museum delivery due to time constraints that year. I was living in California then which made it more difficult so now that I am back in Texas I do not want to miss the opportunity. I am sure I will spend the $700 bucks on the photo album too, at this point why not?

Other than an automatic transmission and competition seats, you have every option picked. My order; base convertible, 2LT, Navigation = MSRP $62,000

Good call - Ken's a good guy. You'll probably want to get his name right, though - it's Ken Fichtner.
