Default Destination input while driving?

Does the C7's navigation system allow you to input destinations while the car is moving? Or, is it like the C6, and that function is locked out if you're driving?

If it is locked out, will it allow you to input a destination if it senses a passenger in the seat?

(I'm predicting "no" answers across the board, but I am curious.)

Or just wait for those of us who are working with the SDK and API to do something about it

I would sure hope you could, at least by voice.

My Range Rover I can by voice or hand. Heck on my motorcycle I can input destination while moving.

The two systems ( onstar and the cars nav ) finally interact? On the C6 they were two separate entities and one had nothing to do with the other.

Yep, the same on my Volt. You can have OnStar look up the address or input it per your instructions and then send it to either Turn-By-Turn or regular Nav. Works like a charm.

So, I assume that this means that, short of having OnStar do it, the answer is "no" to inputting it yourself while the car is moving.

Thanks for the replies.

right. You have to "agree" that you are the passenger before an input is allowed.

You can only do it by voice (while moving) in my Explorer. I would think at a minimum the Corvette will allow you input a destination the same way.

There is a bypass...

Have your passenger sign in to your Onstar app on your phone. Then you can type in an address and press send to your navigation system then it shows up in your nav. And you just go to your destination.
