I have driven my car in all modes and I understand there should be a light that comes on in the center cluster when the car is in V4 mode. With over 1500 miles on the car , not once have I seen this light, is this correct. I have read on here where you cannot hardly tell when the car switches from V4 to V8. I think the car goes to V4 but I am not 100% postive. If it is just a lamp unpluged I don't know if I want the dealer cracking my dash open just to plug it up. Any thoughts??
You have to be in a certain screen, I know today I was in sport mode with a sub screen that showed how many miles left till needing more gas in that screen you will see a small v4 or v8 readout, its there just look for it, your car is fine you just need to find that screen.
Yep I have an auto. I'll play around with the screens and see what happens. I figured that would show up in any screen setting.Manual did not help me much, unless I missed it.

Its there you will find it, all new to me right now so I cant tell you exactly how to get there, I just happened to ask salesman where is the sreen that showed me how many miles left and he did it, on my way home I noticed the v4 - v8 light, good luck.

you need a friggin' phd in mechanical engineering or computer science (fortunately, i have both) to figure out how this beast works. most people will never understand all the feature regardless of how long they own it.
