Decision time...
I like tend to like the cf top and black wheels a bit more than the body color top and chrome wheels but the car will be a DD and I suspect chrome cheels will hold up better than the black.
One day its body color top and chrome, the next it's cf top n black wheels... (how many know the feeling?)

Thanks!
What color are you going with. Mine's Laguna Blue.

However, it is possible to curb any wheel. The best part about a high gloss painted wheel is it is so easy to touch up! I curbed a front wheel, sanded the damage down, touched it up with gloss black touch up paint, and cannot even find the area without putting my face 6 inches from the wheel. I say go for black.
I wouldn't do chrome, it leaves you with no options and unless you absolutely love chrome and will never want to change don't go that route.
I'm going with silver painted and getting them refinished to a finish that for me is a lot sharper than any of the factory options, hyper silver or black chrome. Either of which will cost me less than the factory black option.

I had a Centennial Z06 and loved the black, too. But my wife helps by keeping the rims clean, and she likes chrome. Nuff said.

My C7 was a Dealer Stock Car. It's CGM and came with the Silver Wheels. I have been going back and forth trying to decide if I wanted the Black Wheels instead, since I'm going for a certain "stealthy" look for the Car...
I decided today to bite the bullet and will be getting the Wheels Powder Coated next week, which coincidentally will end up costing me the same amount Chevy wanted for that Option, $495...
You can also have your Wheels Chromed or do a Wheel swap for what Chevy would Charge you for the Chrome Wheel Option.
One piece of advice, if you are on the fence about the Visible Carbon Fiber Top and money isn't the issue, order it anyway. If you decide you don't like it, there will be a whole bunch of other owners that will swap their Solid Color Tops with you and they will pay you for the trouble, me included if your Car is CGM.
Just my $.02...

I've got the black rims and they do get chocolate colored after about a week. Today I'm going to apply some of the Armour All rim protectant to see if it repels brake dust as it claims.
I'd say if you are in a hurry you can simply order what is needed to get through constraints then go vendor, GM or private party to get what you wanted after you get your car.
