Have not seen painted ones - but considering that you are painting a black guard "shinier" black I wouldn't do it. Doubtful you'd notice from greater than 5 feet away. They look nice as is from GM.

Agree, aesthetics are individual but although I liked the body painted contoured splash guards on my C6, I like the way the GM ones look on my C7. They are not as big, which could be a functional problem, but look like they were designed for the car. Here is a pic the front of mine.
