Not real sure in an auto.

In a Z-51 with mag ride and manual, pretty easy.

Select Track mode. Then I press the button in the center of the selector ***, then I turn it again to select Perf Trac 2, shows on the dash which you are selecting.

Then point wheel straight,
Put foot on clutch
put in first
Very quickly floor the gas peddle.
Revs will climb but stabilize below well below red line.
Rapidly release the clutch, even side step it.

The car will launch, bog a little and then go. It's not really a bog but sounds like it as traction control is working to control wheel spin. Get ready to shift to second quickly.

I have seen this done in both an auto and a manual. Auto is quicker, but manual is far more impressive to watch. Saw the demo at Spring Mountain.

I have done it once in a manual car.

If you really have to ask this question please trade your C7 in for a VW bug. Your man card has been revoked.

What I did was download the manual in PDF format, which Google hasn't indexed for some reason, open it in Adobe Reader, and search that.

It's hard to read because it's mostly corporate speak and written poorly - the first sentence is repeated over and over - but here it is. Launch control is accessed via Track Mode, in any setting:

Thank You. I don't have mine yet, my TPW is 12-01. Its nice to be able to learn about the car before it arrives

Me too.. Interesting because my Z51 A8 w/MRC hasn't arrived.

However, I feel that there is less sarcasm here than on most auto forums. Yes people ask the occasional foolish question and get ribbed for it, but could be worse. I do feel a search and reading the manual are a good place to start. But if either turn up more questions than answers, one can point out they did both and still need answers.

Don't forget that there was a post referring to getting the complete Owner's Manual online in a PDF format which means you can read it before you get the car. You can also read it if you are in/on the proverbial 45th floor and don't want to make the trip to the garage. For real life experiences tho, there's nothing like asking the question CorvetteForum for real people's driving experiences.

Another interesting question might be when and if you should use it.

I really feel bad for your kids if this is the way you respond to them when they ask you a simple question.

Perhaps we should stick the the IMPORTANT questions that are not in the users manual like "whats your favorite color"

If you don't have an answer please move on and don't bother the people on this forum who are trying to get help and actually own a C7
Agreed, this is a forum where we are suppose to help one another even if the info can be found in the owners manual. So many rude people on here. Why even respond if you are gonna be an ***.

So they can tell you how lazy and ignorant everyone else in the world is, and remind you of your perpetual lack of perfection as a human being, of course. It helps them sleep better at night I think .

Oh, and what a waste of data transfer and storage you all are on here! Lol. How am I doing? Man that felt great!

Boy,I am glad I purchased a new C7,I would be real nervous buying a 2nd hand C7 after reading about launch control and if it was used right.

I think I will pass on that feature and drive nice and safe.

Excellent video and shows how it is done.

Some people respond better to being shown rather than reading something.

I try to be cool with everyone on this forum, I pride myself on being well liked, but to answer a question with "read your owners manual" is just rude. If you know the answer give the answer.

Agreed, not sure why people even respond if they don't want to offer help.

We all know that sometimes the way the Manual words things, doesn't make it easy to follow.
