I am going to ship my C7 instead of driving. I need to know of those who had their cars shipped, whom do you recommend. Its available for immediate transport. I want to try and avoid brokers at all possible
Horseless Carriage; or, GrandTourismo Transporters, or, Allied Transporters. Get a bid from each. Sometimes, one of these carriers may already be picking up another C7 from your dealer, and, as such, will cut you a great price.
Sorry guys I was in a hurry when i posted this and left out that basic info.
Its going from 19054 Levittown PA to 89178 LasVegas.
The recommendations above are all great.
The major thing you have to keep in mind when trying to arrange this is, most of the companies will usually give you a (+/-) 7 days window for estimated pickup and delivery. Sometimes even longer. You said the car is ready so I'm guessing you want this to happen ASAP. The smaller companies will likely be able to accommodate you better but you just never know. When talking to any of them be sure you fully understand their schedule.
I would suggest Plycar first, if they can't help then try some of the smaller ones, like maybe Thomas Sunday. There are others.
If you need more recommendations just ask, there are a lot of them.
In closing, if needed, I can confidently recommend a broker that I used after reading positive reviews on the Lambo and Ferrari forums. They are High End Transport in Florida.

Plans were originally to fly to dealer and drive it home (only 450 mile drive). I then got to thinking about doing a courtesy delivery due to the weather turning crappy but by then, the car was at 3000. Believe it or not, even though the car hasn't even been built at 3000 you can NOT change where it will be delivered
Edit: Oh and by the way.. my local Chev dealer wanted $600 for a courtesy delivery...

I would suggest getting in touch with Montway. Most of the companies you contact are brokers. The ones that are not such as Reliable, Horseless carriage and a few others and very expensive.
Montway, while being a broker is very reputable and gets great rates. They use great carriers and are great to deal with and can usually find you a carrier in less than a week. They are one of the transport companies recommended by Barrett Jackson and have served me, my brother and other forum members well. I would not give a second thought to using them again based on the service and rates I have received from them for cross country enclosed transport.
After long consideration, I went with Passport transport. They were the middle price for the quotes i received, I received a military discount so they became the cheapest. It was picked up Monday the 17th and they said it should be in Vegas around next week. They even give you a gps tracking code so you can track where your car is located which is pretty cool.
I appreciate everyones opinions and other than the price i am paying the process has been smooth so far, and I am glad i made this decision. I was going to drive it back but the weather is so unpredictable i'd rather be safe than sorry.

After being jacked around by Progressive (with a name like that I shoulda known they'd be a bunch of flakes) with their word, lat weekl going from "Oh sure, no problem picking up Wednesday or Thursday" to today being "We're having problems finding a driver for the money"), I told 'em to hit the road and hired a different company today. A bit more but still reasonable - $900 and they guarantee pickup either tomorrow or Saturday AND same day delivery once that happens. They get good reviews too - United Auto Transport.
We'll see...(I was hoping for delivery tomorrow as that will be 3 months to the day from when I put down a deposit and ordered)
Try to be at the delivery point before the truck driver starts unloading. So you can see how he strapped your car down, we had a bad experience with reliable, the driver used chains and did some damage. Bring a flash light and check the underneath carefully. I doubt you will have a problem with passport. We shipped during one of the big auctions the carriers were really busy and they leased some bad truckers
