What is the current prediction for when the constraint on the z51and Fay will be lifted ?
I put $1000. Down on a z51, Mrc, fay, etc. Back in Oct. 05,13, but Chevrolet will not accept the order until the constraint is lifted...

Um free advice--get your money back ASAP, and order from a forum dealer and have it there in 6-8 weeks. Simple. I ordered this week and is already in allocation (2000) for Tues...Z51.
The Z51 constraint is 50% of orders and I think FAY is still around 12%.
If you dealer has more than 8 allocation per month, he should be able to get 1 Z51 with FAY per month, if he has less he may not ever get one?
It is a dealer issue as even with the constraints it just limits production - it is not a bar.

clarles, I am not a genie or a wizard, but I would not count on z51 and FAY constraints to be lifted this model year, maybe not even next. Any item on constraint above zero is available, but in limited supply. With Z51 at 50% for a few months now, that just means basically every other allocation (plus or minus some wiggle room) a dealer gets should include the constrained option. The FAY is a bit more constrained, so more total allocations are required to allow receipt of the higher constrained item. You can see then, that a dealer with a low number of total allocations promised will have a tough time getting the Z51 and FAY allocation he needs for your car; as stated here, maybe even never will.
Once I understood the system and finally obtained facts from my dealer regarding the pace of allocations they were receiving, I realized that my order was in jeopardy of not being built. My dealer understood my situation and cancelled my order after which I placed an order for the same build with a Forum dealer. The order was accepted by GM within 5 days of entry. This was after 14 weeks at 1100 with the first dealer. I opted for delivery at the Forum dealer so I can spend a couple days driving my new baby home, but they will also arrange courtesy deliveries to a dealer closer to you (for a fee, if the local dealer will agree to the deal).
Bottom line is if you don't mind waiting for exactly what you want (maybe even until 2015 MY), then keep your order where it is. If you really don't want to wait, and want the car as soon as you can get it, get your deposit back and buy from a Forum dealer.
