Default Maybe next time

Its been 7 weeks since i ordered my corvette with z51 package with no movement and no straight answer on when I may see it. Today I am more than likely canceling my order and going with the Nissan GT-R. More money but in stock at local dealer. Shame I finally ordered the car i want and Chevy drops the ball. How are they still around is beyond me.

You are being impatient. Your choice. 7 weeks is nothing. The time frames involved in ordering and receiving a C7 with select equipment are well documented on this forum.

Good Luck with that choice. I owned a 2009 GTR IMO it's a BORING CAR. Very fast but lacks true feel in the steering + you can defiantly tell its very heavy. If your looking for a very fast car its hard to beat the GTR. If your looking for a fun to drive car you may want to pass.

Another thought. Your buying a GTR that been out for over 5 years. So they are easy to get compared to a C7 Z51. The C7 has only been out for 5 months If it was 2009 and you wanted the GTR you would have had the same experience your getting from your Chevy dealer.. Trust me I owned a 2009 GTR the dealers had 10 to 30k mark-up on each car..

I now understand but I was told 8-12 weeks max and my order has not moved an inch yet. Too many horror stories of people waiting months upon months for a corvette is more than I would ever do. I want my car before its a year old. I test drove the Gt-R and it wasnt as fun as the vette but fast as hell. Plus the vette doesnt do me any good in Kentucky.

It seems from reading on here that the waiting is the hardest part. In other words, the orders on Z51's seem to take awhile to picked up, but once they do, it moves pretty fast. If you want the Vette, I'd give it a couple more weeks.

Does your dealer have an allocation or is waiting for one. Go to one of the forum dealers and you will get your car delivered in 8 or so weeks. Also look into getting a courtesy delivery if one of the large forum dealers is not in your area.

I dont blame the OP for being impatient. It shouldnt be this hard to spend $60k plus on what is essentially a toy for grown ups. I hope the OP thoroughly enjoys whatever car he decides to buy.

It's all about allocation. Why not contact a few of the high volume forum dealers and ask how soon they can get you what you want?

The largest Corvette dealer in the WORLD is a 3 hour drive from you.

Holy crap man I honestly didn't even notice that until you mentioned it! I was reading a recent thread and you know how it suggests other threads on the bottom? Well I just clicked on one (this one) and kept reading failing to notice the date stamps. Noobie mistake
I'll be more careful
