You dropped the ball. Twice

1 waiting so long to order

2 buying that Ugly ( but fast) Nissan.. Why do you think the dealer had a GT-R?

Say what you will about the GT-R's styling (subjective). The truth remains that the car defies physics and will always be considered an engineering marvel. It remains to be seen what the C7 ZO6 will do against it. Regardless, it remains one of the best, if not THE BEST, bang for buck supercar. OP has not downgraded whatsoever.

OP, you'll love the GT-R, especially if auto DCTs are your thing.

For $110K it better be something...but 'defying physics' is not one, and it's hideous looking (again my opinion) .

GT-R is a good car, we need not kid ourselves. As far as styling, beauty is in the eye of the beholder -- I like the look of them not because they look "Pretty" by any stretch of the imagination, but because they look like a beast/monster of a machine. I suppose I just respect more cars than the average joe.

That said, I LOVE my Z51. There is no other car that I want more, currently, for less than $100k plus. Given the choice of a GT-r vs my stingray for free, I'm biased, but I honestly think I'd take the stingray. I love everything about it -- heck I ordered everything I wanted.

One final note to the OP here -- I don't think you'll find any sympathy, storming onto a forum where people have been waiting for the rollout and deliveries of this car for nearly a year now, with some JUST having received their cars (many more still waiting). You ordered 7 weeks ago. Any amount of research would have turned up the following: the car (especially z51) is very much in demand, there are production constraints, only a handful of dealers currently have the ability to get you a newly ordered car moving down the line with some of the harder-to-come-by parts/options.

The GT-R is ugly, it's because of the size and weight. The C7 Z06 will lap it around Laguna Seca just like the C6 Z06 did. And just think the C7 Z06 will be cheaper than the GT-R too.

A car that weighs as much as the GT-R does should not be capable of performing as it does. Line up next to one in your C7 and see how you do. I said supercar, not sports car, price only applies when you compare it to the C7 ZO6.

Of course, dollar for dollar, the C7 "Stingray" is a better value but I am not arguing that. Simply stating the GT-R is an amazing car and the OP will love it.

I didn't say C7 is quicker--just better looking (and fast) and less expensive

and while I won't characterize the nissan at all, you did drop the ball by just coming to CF this month, mostly to "inform us" of your decision. thank you.

but what might have been more helpful---to you---is to have known the process, the problems, the dealers, the allocations, etc. had you been on here BEFORE you ordered. all the people complaining about their local dealers not getting any allocation, having allocation and not getting cars----all legit.

but as you said in your second(or first) post, "should" was one of your words. if you wait for "should" in much that you do, it won't happen at all. not that you are wrong, it's just the way many/most things work---not to the "should" of how it should be.

so, move on, enjoy the nisssan, maybe Chevy will see you again, and maybe next time around you will do a slightly more involved type of homework to find how to actually get a hot, first-year product. good luck.

There are C7 Z51s sitting on dealer lots. Why don't do a search to see if there is something you'll be happy with on someone's lot?

I don't think the OP ever really wanted a C7, I think he was just a troll on here trying to antagonize the group.
