Default Splash Guards

Who has them for the new C7. Lets see them!
This is one car that really needs some
to protect the rear lower sides and rocker area and rear wheels.

My rear wheels are getting pits
with 300 miles. But they are getting powder coated soon but we need front and maybe rear splash guards now!

I'll post some soon. I ordered those before I got my car because I had them on my C6 and know what a beating these cars take without them. They stick out about a 1/2 inch more than the ones which came on the car and I would think that's enough to stop a lot of the debris from hitting the paint.

I got splash guards from Gene Culley. They were very easy to install and seem to provide plenty of protection. There are threads on splash guards. I posted pictures a while back. Search splash guards.

I bought a front and rear set Saturday, just waiting to receive them. Being that my C7 is a DD, I figure they should offer a little protection.

Definitely look into getting the rocker panels and lower door clear bra. Even though the splash guards help, you are still going to get small chips and pitting.

Does anyone think that installation of these splash guards in addition to Xpel protection film on the rocker panels is overkill?

Never overkill when it comes to protecting paint

I wonder how the guards look from a full side view. IF anyone has a full car shot with them installed that would be great.

I had both on my C6 wide body and never thought it was a waste. Paint was PERFECT when I sold the car after 83K miles.

I have the C7 guards (front and rear) and the first thing I'll do when the car rolls off the transporter this week is install the guards. Then off to my local Xpel installer

Sounds like a good plan to me.

Do they work? Dunno. Are they cheap chip insurance in the event they do work? Yes. I installed them at 59 miles so I'll never know. I'll just assume they do.

That's why I bought them...they have to help somewhat I would think.

Splash guards alone will not stop all debris from hitting the rockers and rear quarter panel. Clear bra is a necessity to keep the small pebbles chips at a minimum.

The XPel pattern covers the rockers, the front of the rear quarter panel and the bottom part of the door.

Is there an alternative to the relatively small GM splash gaurds?
