I know from many threads on this forum it can not be powered from the mirror. Most have been running it back to fuse 37 in the rear of the car. I have no idea on the mount.
1. I don't think a C6 mirror mount will work with C7. I base this on the fact that blendmount is still working on their C7 mount. If the mirror were the same as the C6 they would sell the C6 mount for the C7.
2. It seems you can't get power from the mirror. If you have a V1 you might want to try their Savvy which plugs into and gets power for the V1 from the OBD port. Otherwise, as Dave80C3 says, everyone else is getting the power from fuse 37. Good luck.

Fairly easy to go to fuse 37 in the rear with an Add-A-Circuit and hide all the wires. The wires can be slipped under existing molding. I even found a way to have it go across the top molding and installed it with a Sticky Mount on the right of the mirror. The new Sticky Mount comes with new Escort detectors and is available for older models. Full install details and pics on my web site; netwelding.com/reports_vette_info.htm
Here's my writeup on how to get power. You can't power from the mirror, but it's easy to do. Jerry's groundwork helped me get started. The mount in the ebay listing is also available for the Escort.
