In 1973 I had a ontario Orange Corvette with a 350. It had a luggage rack on the back, the car was bought at Brian Phillips Gm in Port Credit Ontario, licence Plate # was BUJ621. I had to sell the car in early 1974' sold it to a whole saler in Oakville, Ontario. I have often wondered where that car is today and the possibility of buying it back. I have been told the Gm dealer no longer has the records and the Ontario Licence bureau does not have the plate records due to computer problems they had. Does anyone have an idea how to find this car?

Reason: Need info on my previous Vette.
I would trust your first instinct and go with the black top on the black C7. I personally was never a fan of mis-matched convertible tops, but to each his own.
I am buying a 2014, Z51 convertible 3LT, I am ordering it in Black, I thought of Black top
and Kalahari interior, any comments on that combination. Should I also go Kalahari top?

Either way, you will have a great car.
I say if you really like it, then get it that way. But I agree with Cam.

I saw a cyber grey with that top. IMHO, it did not look very good, go with the black top.
